Marge J. Buckley (she/her) is a writer, performer, and painter. She grew up in Virginia, graduated from Boston's Emerson College in 2017 with a degree in Acting, and moved to Minneapolis in 2019 in order to continue her playwrighting work with local theatre group Commutator Collective. Her plays have been performed in Minneapolis, Boston, and New York City. Marge started showing and selling her paintings in 2022 with the help of her mentor, Hilary Greenstein. Her work explores the weird, colorful, and messy nature of the world around her. She depicts monsters and aliens and animals and bugs and plants and objects and systems and rooms and shapes and people as equally ridiculous and delightfully strange. She employs dramatic colors and surreal compositions as tools of optimism which assert that radical transformation is always in reach.
